RE: [taxchat] Economic stimulous rebate phone number

I just checked another client, the type we'll all need to know about. I know for a fact that his rebate was applied toward an unpaid balance on his return. When I checked on the web site, it said no information was available rather than indicating that the rebate was applied against a balance due.
 
Another client who filed around October 15th has no information available.
 
I hope that the actual information for everyone who filed in 2008 is available online at some point.

The "Where's My Stimulus Payment" site is still up and does seem to be reporting the needed information.

Donna - everything is on the IRS website - do a search for Stimulus Package.  There may be a link on the homepage .

Is anyone aware of the IRS phone number to call to verify the amount of the economic stim rebate?  Or do we go online to get that info?
