Electronica Direct is an authorized HP reseller with a valid outlet ID number issued from HP, I had them confirm their # to me via email.
 
They even lowered the price by $10 since I bought mine last week.   A top quality HP printer, virtually for free.  How can you lose? 

 

Did you check to see if the place were you purchase the printer is an HP Authorized Reseller, if not the Rebate is no good.

I had that problem with HP before.

My HP printer arrived yesterday.  less than 48 hours after ordering it.

It is perfect, sealed OEM, UPC bar codes are still there on the box.  The HP box was not double boxed, rather they slapped a shipping label directly onto the HP box.

I have received this printer for a delivered cost (after mail-in rebate) for about $25 more than the retail cost of just the toner cartridge alone (one comes in the HP box).  Or another way of looking at it, some offices might buy several, and for $25 you can have a whole spare printer.

The printer is new, network plug-in to share among computers in the office, and has the duplexer option with the added memory (make sure you order the higher priced "dn" model)

The rebate continues through 9/30/08
