Bookkeeping is $50 an hour. Minimum two hour charge. Includes entering checks, bank statements, doing sales tax if needed.
Payroll can range from $50 a month for one,two employees... to $200 a month for 5 and more.

Tax Prep
I charge by the form:
Individual - From $80 to $500
S-Corps - From $350-$500

I am going up on my pricing next year.

I am a EA as of this year. Degree in Accounting. I am also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

I am located in Northeast Georgia.

Bookkeeping:
  $75 per hour...the companies we work for range from $150-$500 per month.  We do bookkeeping, sales tax, liquor tax, vehicle sales, and payroll taxes, which accounts for the range of prices.  Depends on how many employees, and how many transactions.
 
Tax Prep
  $175 average per return...but we charge by the form, so some returns (children of clients) are $30, and the largest return we prepared this year was $2100 (45 rental properties, 3 schedule C businesses, itemized, etc).  Don't really have an hourly rate.
 
I've missed certifying for Pro Advisor for several years (business just got the better of me, no free time at all).  But hoping to take the course soon...just received the link today.  I've also been studying during the past three months for the Certified Senior Advisor credential.  Take the exam Dec 4th.
 
I'm an EA (since 1992), was KS Exemplary ERO (1999).  Have an MBA (1983).  AND live in the middle of nowhere!

I know that this topic has been discussed before but if everyone wants to participate this time I will put together an excel SS & forward to anyone that is interested.

I would like to know what everyone else is charging for bookkeeping / tax returns per hour.  I know that most people charge by the form but I have always charged by the hour.  So if you charge by the form, either give an estimate or just your hourly bookkeeping rate.

If you would include your rates and state, that would be great.

I'll start:

               For Bookkeeping work we charge              $65 if they are a one time client that just needs their books reviewed or P&Ls prepared

                                                                                          $60 if they are a monthly client or a client that already using us for payroll and/or taxes

               For Tax Work                                                   $95 for individuals

                                                                                          $105 partnerships

                                                                                          $115 Corps – C or S

We are in CA

I've got one also. Sales tax deduction on Schedule A that is not being allowed. I won't go into all the details but I was told by the examiner to call the Taxpayer Advocates Office... then the next step would be tax court. I am sending the TAO form in tomorrow for this customer.

You could try the TAO first and see what they say.

[forum-pajak] Perlakuan Penyusutan Biaya Ditangguhkan

Deal all,
mohon pencerahan... perusahaan tempat saya bekerja bergerak pada
bidang persewaan pesawat terbang, atas biaya-biaya terkait repair &
maintenance kami catat sebagai biaya ditangguhkan pada neraca untuk
kemudian kami biayakan sesuai dengan jam terbang pesawat terkait.
Bagaiman perlakuan pajak atas biaya ditangguhkan tersebut? Apakah
pajak mengakui pembebanan biaya dengan metode jam terbang (unit of
production method).

Saya hanya meluruskan saja sehingga jangan menjadi salah kaprah loh, coba
simak lagi UU 36 PPh psl 21 ayat 5a, bahwa intinya bagi yg tidak ber-NPWP
tarifnya lebih tinggi 20% dari yg ber-NPWP berdasrkan tarif yg telah
ditetapkan (artinya tarif pasal 17).
Artinya dari PPh terhutang psl 21 dikenakan tambahan 20% lagi atau lebih
jelasnya dapat saya perbandingkan antara yg ber-NPWP dgn tidak ber-NPWP 
berdasarkan tarif psl 17 UU 36 PPh :
Tarif ber-NPWP     Tarif Tidak ber-NPWP
5%               menjadi           6%
15%             menjadi         18%
25%             menjadi         30%
30%             menjadi         36%
 
Untuk jawaban untuk pertanyaan kasus apakah dikenakan diawal/hitung ulang
awal bagi yg ber-NPWP di bulan Okt-09 ? Bila baru punya NPWP bulan Okt-09
maka berlaku tarif normal pada bulan bersangkutan.

apabila WP tidak memiliki NPWP pada th 2009 dan penghasilannya diatas PTKP
sesuai peraturan KUP PPh dikenakan tarif 20%. berdasarkan kasus anda menurut
kami misalkan bulan januari s.d september 2009 dikenakan tarif 20%, untuk bl
oktober s.d desember 2009 yang bersangkutan dikenakan tarif normal sesuai

Misalkan seorang pegawai tetap tidak punya NPWP sejak awal tahun 2009, maka
PPh 21 pegawai tsb akan dihitung dengan tarif lebih tinggi 20%. Lalu pada
bulan Oktober 2009 pegawai tsb punya NPWP, bagaimana perhitungan PPh 21 atas
pegawai tsb ? Apakah seluruh penghasilan dari awal tahun akan dihitung ulang
dengan tarif normal ? Apakah status punya NPWP atau tidak berdasarkan status
di awal tahun pajak seperti halnya status PTKP ?

Ada sediki keluhan saja ada 2 , mungkin ada yang mengalami sama tlg sharing saja
 
1. Jangan marah ya, saya disuruh bos saya disuruh menenyakan ttg sunset pribadi NPWP , krn mau ada pembetulan dari 2003 sd 2006, ada tambah harta dyg diperoleh dari tahun 1997 ( hibah ) totalnya kira kira 5 milyar, saya menghadap ke AR di Jakarta Pusat, katanya harus bayar kira kira 10 % atau 5 % dari total tersebut, boss saya tdk mau, khan di peraturan kalau ada penghasilan lainnya yang hrs bayar pajak, boss mau bayar pajak cuma 4 jutaan, krh harta tsbt dari jaman dulu, AR bilang kurang wajar, Tolong dong, apakah ada yang mengalami seperti boss saya ini, karena ikut di seminar kok tdk ada studi kasus seperti ini, terkadang kami jadi bingung, mau sunset jadi takut
 
2. Ada kantor teman saya mendaftrakan NPWP kolektif ( karyawan ) di KPP Madya Jakarta Barat, sdh 3 minggu belum selesai juga , krn antri dan banyak, jadi bingung juga ya, mohon mita pencerahan dari rekan rekan, jangan tersinggung, krn ini fakta yang ada di lapangan, mohon petunjuk

Pasal 9 ayat (8a) UU 18/2000 menyebutkan bahwa PPN Masukan yang tidak dapat dikreditkan adalah perolehan BKP/JKP sebelum perusahaan dikukuhkan sebagai PKP.

[forum-pajak] Masa bulan Faktur Pajak

Dear Rekan2 forum-pajak,

Diperusahaan kami utk PPN keluarannya menggunakan sistem Faktur pajak Carried Forward dimana Faktur Pajaknya dan Tanggal penyerahan Barang berbeda 1 (satu) bulan.
Yang menjadi masalah, kami mendapat customer baru dimana Customer tsb meminta Faktur Pajak dan tanggal penyerahan barang harus sama.
Pertanyaannya kepada Rekan2 yg bisa membantu adalah :
1. Apakah diperkenankan perusahaan kami menggunakan 2 sistem pada Faktur Pajak Standard yaitu FP Carried Forward dan FP Current Month (Sama dgn tgl Penyerahan Barang)?
2. bagaimana mekanisme penomoran Faktur Pajaknya? Karena sepengetahuan kami tanggal dan Nomor harus berurutan.

Yang menjadi objek pajak adalah penghasilan yaitu setiap tambahan kemampuan ekonomis yang diterima oleh WP dalam bentuk apapun, baik berasal dari Indonesia maupun dari luar negeri, yang dapat digunakan oleh WP tersebut untuk konsumsi dan/atau untuk menambah kekayaannya.

Dengan demikian maka penyertaan modal dalam suatu perusahaan dalam bentuk saham bukan merupakan objek pajak, akan tetapi sumber dana yang dipakai untuk penyetoran modal tersebut yang seharusnya menjadi objek pajak pada waktu dana tersebut diperoleh.

Apakah mungkin diterapkan 2 tarif yang berbeda dalam tahun takwin yang sama
untuk perhitungan PPh 21 pegawai tetap ?
Kerangka perhitungan PPh 21 pegawai tetap kan dilihat dari penghasilan
selama setahun. Jadi tidak ada suatu formula yang mutlak benar pada saat
menghitung setoran PPh 21 bulanan.

Saya hanya meluruskan saja sehingga jangan menjadi salah kaprah loh, coba
simak lagi UU 36 PPh psl 21 ayat 5a, bahwa intinya bagi yg tidak ber-NPWP
tarifnya lebih tinggi 20% dari yg ber-NPWP berdasrkan tarif yg telah
ditetapkan (artinya tarif pasal 17).
Artinya dari PPh terhutang psl 21 dikenakan tambahan 20% lagi atau lebih
jelasnya dapat saya perbandingkan antara yg ber-NPWP dgn tidak ber-NPWP 
berdasarkan tarif psl 17 UU 36 PPh :
Tarif ber-NPWP     Tarif Tidak ber-NPWP
5%               menjadi           6%
15%             menjadi         18%
25%             menjadi         30%
30%             menjadi         36%
 
Untuk jawaban untuk pertanyaan kasus apakah dikenakan diawal/hitung ulang
awal bagi yg ber-NPWP di bulan Okt-09 ? Bila baru punya NPWP bulan Okt-09
maka berlaku tarif normal pada bulan bersangkutan.

apabila WP tidak memiliki NPWP pada th 2009 dan penghasilannya diatas PTKP
sesuai peraturan KUP PPh dikenakan tarif 20%. berdasarkan kasus anda menurut
kami misalkan bulan januari s.d september 2009 dikenakan tarif 20%, untuk bl
oktober s.d desember 2009 yang bersangkutan dikenakan tarif normal sesuai
KUP terbaru apabila telah berNPWP 5%,10%15% dst.
saya kira tidak jadi masalah.. karena Fiskus pasti mengetahui dalam
perbedaan tarif. karena pada laporan SPT Tahunan PPh Pasal 21 ada perbedaan
angka.

memberikan informasi via surat resmi kepada kepala kantor cc. Kep.seksi

Misalkan seorang pegawai tetap tidak punya NPWP sejak awal tahun 2009, maka
PPh 21 pegawai tsb akan dihitung dengan tarif lebih tinggi 20%. Lalu pada
bulan Oktober 2009 pegawai tsb punya NPWP, bagaimana perhitungan PPh 21 atas
pegawai tsb ? Apakah seluruh penghasilan dari awal tahun akan dihitung ulang
dengan tarif normal ? Apakah status punya NPWP atau tidak berdasarkan status
di awal tahun pajak seperti halnya status PTKP ?

Senin, 10 Nopember 2008
Ini kabar yang kurang enak buat Anda yang belum punya Nomor Pokok Wajib
Pajak (NPWP). Mulai tahun depan, jika Anda ke luar negeri, tarif
pembayaran Fiskal akan naik. "Berapa tarif barunya, nanti akan saya beri
kabar," ujar Direktur Jenderal Pajak Darmin Nasution, kemarin.
Pemerintah, menurut Darmin, akan menerbitkan peraturan kenaikan tarif
fiskal yang mulai berlaku efektif pada 2009. Darmin sengaja menaikkan
tarif fiskal sebelum pungutan ini hapus dari muka bumi pada 2011.
Penghapusan bea fiskal pada 2011 itu adalah amanah UU Pajak Penghasilan
PPh.

Pungutan fiskal adalah bagian dari PPh. Setiap orang yang bertolak ke
luar negeri wajib membayarnya. Sebetulnya, pembayaran ini juga bisa
menjadi pengurang kewajiban PPh pribadi atau PPh perusahaan jika
bersedia mengurusnya. Dan mulai tahun depan, orang yang sudah memiliki
NPWP tak perlu lagi membayar bea fiskal.

Karena itu, Darmin mengimbau masyarakat segera membuat NPWP. Bila tidak,
selain bisa terkena denda pajak, mereka harus tetap membayar tarif
fiskal yang tarifnya bakal lebih mahal dari tarif sekarang ini.

Saat ini, kewajiban membayar fiskal di bandara dan pelabuhan buat warga
Indonesia yang ingin ke luar negeri Itu berlaku bagi warga berusia di
atas 12 tahun.Di bandara ongkos fiskalnya sebesar Rp 1 juta per orang
dan di pelabuhan Rp 500.000.

Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Melchias Markus Mekeng setuju dengan
kebijakan ini. Ketentuan bebas fiskal bagi pemilik NPWP adalah bentuk
pemberian bonus pada masyarakat. Sebaliknya, bagi mereka yang belum
punya NPWP, ini adalah semacam sanksi. Tujuan utamanya, agar masyarakat
jatuh membayar pajak," ujarnya

Pengamat Pajak Hendra Wyana juga menilai rencana kenaikan tarif fiskal
ini wajar. Selain karena tarif saat ini sudah berlaku cukup lama,
kebijakan ini dapat mendorong masyarakat mendapatkan NPWP. "Kenaikan ini
bisa menjaring masyarakat yang suka ke luar negeri," kata Hendra

Di luar orang yang sudah memiliki NPWP, pemerintah juga memberikan
fasilitas bebas fiskal khusus dengan kriteria tertentu. Misalnya untuk
anggota korps diplomatik, pejabat negara, anggota TNI dan Polri serta
Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) yang tengah bertugas dan menggunakan Paspor
Dinas. Jamaah haji dan petugas haji juga bebas dari pungutan ini.

dear pajak.net,

berdasarkan UU no.36 th.2008, pelaporan SPT PPh 21 Tahunan oleh pemotong
pajak tidak ada maka
pelaporannya melalui SPT Masa PPh 21. Oleh karena itu mulai Okt 2009,
apabila si karyawan mempunyai NPWP maka perhitungan PPh 21 menggunakan tarif
pasal 17.
Jadi status memiliki NPWP diberlakukan pada bulan yang bersangkutan & bukan
awal tahun.

di awal tahun pajak seperti halnya status PTKP ?

Bookkeeping:
  $75 per hour...the companies we work for range from $150-$500 per month.  We do bookkeeping, sales tax, liquor tax, vehicle sales, and payroll taxes, which accounts for the range of prices.  Depends on how many employees, and how many transactions.
 
Tax Prep
  $175 average per return...but we charge by the form, so some returns (children of clients) are $30, and the largest return we prepared this year was $2100 (45 rental properties, 3 schedule C businesses, itemized, etc).  Don't really have an hourly rate.
 
I've missed certifying for Pro Advisor for several years (business just got the better of me, no free time at all).  But hoping to take the course soon...just received the link today.  I've also been studying during the past three months for the Certified Senior Advisor credential.  Take the exam Dec 4th.
 
I'm an EA (since 1992), was KS Exemplary ERO (1999).  Have an MBA (1983).  AND live in the middle of nowhere!

I would like to know what everyone else is charging for bookkeeping / tax returns per hour.  I know that most people charge by the form but I have always charged by the hour.  So if you charge by the form, either give an estimate or just your hourly bookkeeping rate.

If you would include your rates and state, that would be great.

I'll start:

               For Bookkeeping work we charge              $65 if they are a one time client that just needs their books reviewed or P&Ls prepared

                                                                                          $60 if they are a monthly client or a client that already using us for payroll and/or taxes

               For Tax Work                                                   $95 for individuals

                                                                                          $105 partnerships

                                                                                          $115 Corps – C or S
