Re: [taxchat] hourly rates

My part of the country and my credentials may warrant a different value they others. This is a no can do project until everyone has the same education at a minimum.

2008/11/10 Cris Kelly <ckelship@yahoo.com>

I know that this topic has been discussed before but if everyone wants to participate this time I will put together an excel SS & forward to anyone that is interested.

I would like to know what everyone else is charging for bookkeeping / tax returns per hour.  I know that most people charge by the form but I have always charged by the hour.  So if you charge by the form, either give an estimate or just your hourly bookkeeping rate.

If you would include your rates and state, that would be great.

I'll start:

For Bookkeeping work we charge              $65 if they are a one time client that just needs their books reviewed or P&Ls prepared

$60 if they are a monthly client or a client that already using us for payroll and/or taxes

For Tax Work                                                   $95 for individuals

                                                                                          $105 partnerships

                                                                                          $115 Corps – C or S

We are in CA

Thanks for the input and let me know if you want a copy of the spreadsheet.

Thanks,

Cris
