Would you apologize before or after you beat the poo out of him or her?

Make sure your tax return cover letter has a privacy statement.  Take this client off your mailing list and apologize.  That's all I would do.

I just started sending my newsletter by email to all the clients whose email addresses I have.  I got a note back from one of them that what I was doing was very unprofessional because I didn’t have a place to unsubscribe.  Does anyone know if I have to follow some kind of protocol with this?

Sincerely,
