My general policy is that I don’t require any backup unless I sense that the client is unwilling to furnish it. Then the sky is the limit.

I am going to met w/ a new corp client that has been filing her return on accrual.
She is balking about having to get me backup info, and I want to know if I am being too strict. I am requiring her bank rec and a copy of the bank statement along with a list of assets.
My question is regarding her A/P & A/R ending balances, I am trying to decide if I should request copies of her aging reports to verify that the amounts match with her Balance Sheet.
I would like to get advice on if you would request backup or just go with her #s.
