RE: [taxchat] FAXING POA - 2848

No, I've gotten a POA on line and used it when dealing with the practitioner hotline. I believe it gets recorded in the CAF file same as the faxed form but more quickly and more reliably. I've printed out client account information within minutes of submitting the POA on e-services.

Isn't the e-services so-called POA only good for the one session on-line at e-services?

 

I also find that faxing the signed POA to the proper #

east coast taxpayer 901-546-4115

west coast taxpayer 801-620-4249

let's e-services work nicer (if I want a couple weeks for the POA to be populated throughout the IRS system)

Arnie, in the future you might want to use EServices to file the POA. I think it gets into the system faster.
