The ex-client says that he fired the partner. He had been complaining about
him for years. (What did Shakespeare say -- something about the noisy
accuser being the guilty one ? I wish I could remember that quote.)

The sadest part of this whole story is that he will shake every bush
he comes across until he finds someone to do what he wants. Thank
God you found out about his unethical issues early in your
relationship and not a few years later! I bet the partner uncovered
other shifty things that he has done with the business too. You never
know why they are parting ways.
