RE: [taxchat] printer recommendation

I've been using a Brother 6050D for the past several years. It's been very reliable. The only negative is that there are two consumables, a toner cartridge with about a 7,500 page rating and a drum unit that has to be replaced after about 28,000 pages. I also have a Brother AIO MFC-8860DN which I use more a a copier and fax machine than as a printer that has more than lived up to my expectations.

 

Whatever printer you decide upon, post your decision here. Unfortunately, most of the laser printer reviews I see refer to either low end lasers or to color lasers. I'm pretty certain others will be looking for a new printer before the end of the year.

Anyone have a printer that they would recommend?  Or a brand to say away from?

I have always bought HP printers, but they are a lot more expenses AND I am moving my office this weekend so I already have more expenses that I need!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
