RE: [taxchat] bill

I don’t have to pay an upfront fee and I sent this last bill certified.  If I don’t hear something within ten days I’m turning it over.

I always do, they asked you to perform a service for them and you did.  But it also depends on your collection agency, do you have to pay a fee upfront?

 

Have you sent a certified letter to the client so you have proof that they received the invoice and your notice that you will send them to collections?  Also, check your engagement letter to make sure that it states that their account will be sent to collections if payment is not received in a timely manner.

I have a client whose tax return has been sitting here to be picked up since May.  I have sent numerous letters and emails.  No response.  Even though she hasn’t picked up the return, can I turn this over to my collection agency?
